What does diesel mechanic do?
Diesel mechanics are skilled technicians that inspect and service vehicles that run on
diesel engines, such as cars, trucks and other types of machinery. Their
responsibilities include diagnosing damaged diesel motors, repairing them and
ensuring their long-term maintenance.
What skills does a diesel mechanic have?
Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated
parts. Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown. Test-
driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance. Completing oil changes, wheel-
balancing, alignment and brake checks

A student will qualify for a National N Certificate in in Engineering Studies on completion of a minimum of 4 subjects on N3 Level.
