The purpose of this qualification is to develop in the student the competency to plan, apply, implement and evaluate public relations and communication management practices in a variety of business and social contexts.

This tourism course is directed at those currently employed within the tourism industry as well as those aspiring to enter into the tourism industry, specifically focusing on post matric students who aim to enter into this industry.

What do people in public relations do?

Public relations specialists create and maintain a positive public image for the individuals, groups, or organizations they represent. They craft media releases and develop social media programs to shape public perception of their clients and to increase awareness of each client’s work and goals.

Award

A student will qualify for a National N Diploma in Public Relations on completion of a minimum of 12 subjects, ranging from N4 – N6, together with a minimum of 18 months in-service training.

The College assists students with in service training as part of the learner support programme
